Good day. This is my first post on this forum. we have one of our 13.8KV, 12.5 MW, turbine alternator having high PD values, some specilist says this alternator needs to be rewinded to avoid failure of winding. presently this generator is running on load about 11MW. my question here is, how exactly the results are PD measurements, it is necessary to do rewinding this alternator to avoid unexpected failure??? is there any way one can prolong the life of this alternator having high PV value.
