Kid,
I guess you can say their principles are similar since they both use steam to provide mechanical energy.... a steam turbine normally is a prime mover which is coupled to a generator thus producing electrical power. A steam engine uses steam to convert into mechanical energy to drive a shaft, wheels, etc. ie. a steam locomotive. |
