Default Power plants Performance Metrics

Our company operates a fleet of power plants which are mostly natural-gas based with a few coal-based plants. We are collecting operating data from the plants and calculating the performance indexes (as specified in GADS) every month. We are looking for a database to benchmark our results.
GADS publishes annual historical data but it is always more than one year old.
Has anyone got experience with ORAP or Navigant GKS databases?
We do not want to go for buying software from these companies and install at each of our plants. We are looking for web-based data entry from a central point.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I don't know much about ORAP or Navigant. You may try reaching out to a small Texas-based company by the name of Hartigen. They are good people and know a lot about these systems.

Both are good depending upon what you need.

As I recall, GKS is monthly data submitted quarterly and is web-based. It can be pricey though ... you'll just have to contact them. All data is blinded ... you can't tell whose data you're looking at. Includes both cost and GADS data ... you have to give to get I think.

ORAP is primarily CT/GT data including combined cycle. No cost data. Requires ORAP data submittal, but they might take GADS data instead.

While researching on the above subject, I came across GADS Nxl application, which is a free download.
I understand that RonFluegge, who replied to my query, is the person who wrote this application.

I want to try it on my PC as a stand-alone application. I downloaded the zip file and installed the application. However I find the following problems:

1. I checked to see that .NET Framework SP1 and the JetEngine version are installed on my computer.
3. I have the Access 2007 database - so the files are .accdb type.
4. I am not able to install the GADSNG.mdb file. That seems to be the holdup.
I see the file name in the GADSNG.XML file, but it is not installed in the folders. Other .mdb files are installed.

Ron, will you please help me?
Thanks
