Working in the states should be the same as working in Germany. We have stringent OSHA regulations and safety procedures mandated by federal regulatories. There are many plants on the south and south east as well as the north and north east. What type of plant are you looking at work at? Nuclear, combined cycle, wind?

Thank you for your answer.

J prefer a fossil fuel power plant with natural gas, coal or oil.
Now I work in a CHP [Combined heat and power plant] with
a CFB [Circulirt Fluidized Bed Boiler].
I operated all stations in our plant [steam turbine, gas turbine,
heat recovery steam generator and district heating for local housing)
I work in a control room and out site.

I have searched for power plants in the INTERNET, and I think,
Kentucky or Indiana would be a good place for us.

Greetings from Germany

Frank

to frankcom. Good luck finding job. How familiar your story is. I have worked in a powerplant for 19 years. We have 2 coal fired Circulating Fluidized Bed boilers with a 120MW turbine What vercitile boilers they are, We burn all sorts of fuels. We burn coal, biomass, wood waste, sawdust, pertoleum coke, Tire chips, chipped railroad ties, some waste oils, as well as others. We can cycle these units from 25% load to 100% load in less than an hour. Good luck in the Kentucky, Indiana area.

Dear Doug_L!

Thanks for your answer and your wish for my job search.
I am now in four power plants for a job advertised.
We will fly at 26.04. to Cincinnati and will stay for 3 weeks.
In which city you live and what power plant do you work?
In our plant we also burn different fuels.
Coal, lignite, briquettes, antrazitcoal, bone meal, sewage sludge and petroleum coke.
Our CFB boiler is a combined heat and power plant with 38MW Siemens steam turbine and 80 MW heating for local houses.
