I was wondering if any one could tell me how hot the exhaust is coming out of a nuclear power plant, coal plant, etc. I have heard that there are test being done to pump the exhaust underground and was wondering how hot it was. Thanks

the exhaust flue gas is typically about 200degs F... its ideal to be much lower since it equates to how efficient the hot gasses is thermally transfered to the boiler tubes..typically in the first stage of the economizer section.

The exhaust gas from the nuclear reactor is nearly 250 deg frah,
however those exhaust are not let out as it is... they are first cooled and then sent out. _________________________________________ Power plant development |
