In the field of Power Plant Engineering we are looking for a Claim / Contract Manager (m/f)

Tasks:
• Knowledge of the various technical / contractual documents within the project, including local contracts with subcontractors if applicable, for the necessary claims processing, in accordance with the specified contractual, technical and organisational rules and processes for the project (including setting and monitoring deadlines)
• Classification of submitted claims (performance exceeded / not met, deadline, quality)
• Securing evidence, documentation of claim content
• Preparation of claims and inspecting submitted claims
• Establishing the impact of submitted and received claims on deadlines
• Inspecting claims with respect to guarantee and warranties
• Cost and results monitoring and reporting to persons responsible for the project
• Preparing for claims negotiations with claim opponents
• Asserting the company’s strategy vis-à-vis opposing claims with the aim of deflecting these claims as fair as possible
• Reporting the results of negotiations to the relevant department and PO3
• Checking claims for demands resulting from liability and other types of insurance

Qualifications:
• Course of study for degree of Wirtsch.-Ing. or degree in a technical subject (e.g. construction engineering, plant engineering, mechanical engineering) with additional commercial training
• Contract or claims manager
• Several years’ professional experience in international plant construction
• Analytical, communication, planning and organisational skills, assertiveness and team spirit
• Ability to lead an international / intercultural team
• Experience in dealing with clients and suppliers
• Excellent command of spoken English, German
• Additional languages would be an advantage
• Conversant with MS Office, including MS Project
• Willingness to go on extended deployments to construction sites worldwide
