Default From electrician to I&C

Im currently an electrical specialist at my plant, I would like to become an I&C specialist.I always hear ppls calling I&C tecs prima donnas since they dont really get dirty and are on their laptops. Has anyone made the move from electrical work to controls?

its not bad they work close with the plant operators. I&C techs, are like the eyes and ears of the plant..

Control guys are permadonas! they sit in front of a computer all day, in the air conditioned room, on a comfy leather seat, and wear clean khaki slacks.
