Default Solar GS 350 Gas Turbine

Hello everyone. This is my first post here. I have a small problem. I own a small generator company here in Southeastern Connecticut and we recently acquired a very low hour Solar 225KW Gas Turbine Generator. I am asking anyone who has or may know of someone or someplace I can get any service manuals for this unit. Specifically for the turbine end of the generator. This unit only has 635 running hours on it and runs very well but we really would like to get tha proper manuals to it so was can make sure. I have tried contacting Caterpiller, since they own Solar since the early 80's, but have not heard anyhting back. I was hoping someone here could help me out. We are willing to pay for these manuals.

Solar Turbines is one of many subsidiaries owned by Caterpillar, it is no surprise that you didn't get a response from CAT. Why don't you go directly to Solar Turbines?

Don't get your hopes up regarding finding manuals for the turbine, I believe the unit you're referring to is an early 1960's vintage Spartan Turbine.

Good luck.

I would reach out to solar and start from there. Also did you try to google the model number or service outfits that work on older turbines?

Actually Caterpillar hasn't owned Solar for quite a long time.
Alturdyne

currently owns them.

You might try there.

If you find yourself in need of parts I have two, also low hours, sitting in our dry dock facility left from the Navy. They are in Mare Island Vallejo, CA. Contact me via email re this forum or 510-407-6908
