HRSG casing with hot spots
Dear All,
We are facing a problem on our HRSG casing. It showed hot spots on the casing which were close to 400 deg C (exhaust from the GT is 530 deg C). Obviously, we checked the insulation; which we found was missing. We installed the insulation and after startup again took the thermogram. Again we are getting high temperature but relatively lower than what we earlier had. We now have hot spots at around 220 deg C. Normally it should be below 90 deg C. What could be the problem now?....Why are we not getting temps. less than 90 deg???
