Lightbulb Condenser Ball Cleaning System

The process of cleaning the tubes, condenser is very important at Power stations, this system removes sediment and plankton, which are adhesive pipes intensive internal, and not cleaning those pipes result in major problems is the lack of efficiency of the process intensification of steam into water, thus the lack of sustaining pressure VACUUM within the condenser.

Rubber sponge balls are injected into circulating water (CW) flow at the inlet of a heat exchanger. The sponge balls are circulated through the heat exchanger tubes, where they mechanically remove fouling debris and scale that builds up on the tube surfaces. Sponge balls are then collected at the condenser outlet by a ball strainer and re-injected at the inlet to continuously maintain the cleaning process.

so many advantages are provided from using this on-load system:

1- Prevents and removes fouling and scale build-up on condenser tubes
2- Ensures optimal heat transfer to maintain design steam side pressure
3- Lowers fuel consumption
4- Raises plant output to original design specifications
5- Eliminates regular shutdowns for costly manual tube cleanings
6- Reduces chlorination usage and expense
7- Extends condenser life

We Use at Cairo Power Station , (TECHNOS) Ball Cleaning System , I attached two files which describe the overall system , and a data sheet for ( TECHNOS ) System.

Default Environmental Concerns with Condenser Ball Cleaning Systems

To extend the life of a condenser and maintain it's optimal efficiency, it is imperative that the condenser is properly protected from debris and micro fouling. Micro-fouling is caused by the deposit and build up of silt, sand, mud, soluble elements, etc. and it can have negatively affect condenser and heat exchanger efficiency. Micro fouling can also lead to tube pitting which ultimately causes boiler and turbine damage.

These problems can be avoided with the installation of condenser cleaning equipment. An automatic condenser tube cleaning system can be installed on the condenser or heat exchanger to maintain its original cleanliness. With this system, rubber sponge balls are injected at the inlet of the condenser and are circulated through the tubes, effectively sweeping them clean of fouling debris (like the system described in the previous post).

One problem that many condenser ball cleaning systems have is the release or leakage of sponge balls into the environment and into the ecosystems of water sources. Sponge balls in water sources not only causes pollution, but they can be fatal to many marine species. With the growing importance and awareness of energy conservation and environmental regulations, it is imperative to generate power as cleanly and efficiently as possible. Beaudrey has developed a condenser ball cleaning system that has a zero ball loss guarantee, making it the most environmentally friendly system on the market. Information on the environmental advantages of this system can be found at: Beaudrey's Superior Condenser Protection Systems Prevent Micro-fouling

Default standard/code to design

could you please explain if there is any standard or code to design a condenser ball cleaning system and also know the limitations please?!
