Default Synthetic oil leak in LM2500

We are having 4 nos of LM2500 packaged as PGT 25 at our plant at Algeria . We are about to commission these machines . We have found around 45 liters of Synthetic oil in hydarulic starter and Auxialliary Gear Box. We doubt that the oil is inside the Axial compressor casing also . Although we did not find any trace of oil in Intake Bell Mouth and B and C sumps .

Please advise what is the level of risk if we intend to start the turbine for a water wash and then final start with load ?

Hello
how did you end up spilling the oil? it should be properly clean up in areas where it doesnt belong especialy if its near the hot end of the maching which could potentially start a fire! you can water wash but oil and water does not mix well. You will need an oil removal cleanser, manually hand cleaning, vacuum to get the oil removed. good luck! let us know how the start up went.
