Your qualifications and experience in the Navy is what the majority of power plant employers are looking for. You have the hands on experience in operations and maintenance and is a real advantage over those that have the theoritical education. I would spruce up your resume and focus on your O&M experinces on the gas turbines and boilers. depending on which plant you are applying for, I would focus on the specific training and experience you have with them. Power plant forum has a forum section where you can post your resume..check out the "jobs" section.. or try other web sites such as thinkenergy.com, careerbuilder.com, powerplantpro.com, and of course Monster.com etc. these are all great sources for your job search. good luck!
