Hello everyone,

I have been a Gas Turbine Systems Technician for the United States Navy for 4 years now. I am honorably seperating next month and was wondering if any one here could give me some information or advise.

I have experience working on LM2500s, Allison 501k-17s, waste heat boilers and auxiliary equipment such as lube oil and fuel oil systems. I have both combined and simple cycle power plant experience. I have been to several naval engineering schools and also attended SDSU and received a professional certificate as a power plant operator.

I feel that my military credentials should transfer over very easily to the civilian sector but I am having a hard time getting my foot in the door. Any advise on as far as job searching or if I should further my education would be greatly appreciate.
