I am a plant engineer with a mechanical engineering degree but recently has been tasked with troubleshooting our electrical ground system. Can someone explain to me the difference between the station ground and control grounds? Ultimately they all tie into the earth grounding system. Why are there two grounds that need to be so carefully separated?
