Prefilters are installed before the filters. The chiller coils and trash screens are downstream of the inlet system on the "clean" side. The inertial separators can be replaced with panel pre-filters for units with chiller or evap coolers. Those without, can use the prefilter wraps on cartridge filters. So to answer your question, NO, modifications to the inlet filter house will not be necessary.
